Part of service package under the (OVP) Ofisgate Verified Program is to assist Universities or Colleges to set up their own Network Lab. The network lab will allow students to simulate and emulate the real world network experience which are currently being used in the industry.
Furthermore, OVP Education will also include the hands-on test cases and Syllabus to ensure the universities and students will totally benefit from our program.
Under the OVP education lab program, students will be exposed to;
- Configuring Router and Switch (L2-L3)
- Wan Emulator setup - emulating Loss, Latency, jitter, Reorder etc.
- IP Traffic Generator - application generator - active Packet generator.
- IP Packet Analysis through passive Monitoring.
- Simulating Voice and video streaming over the test network - supports most standard Codec (Voice: G.711, G.723.1, G.729a; Video: MPEG1, MPEG2, MPEG3, MPEG4, MP3, DIVx etc.)
- Simulating VoIP and Video (H.263, H.264 ) call over the network, using SIP protocol.
- Complete layer 2 -7 testing.
There are few packages of network labs that are available;
Basic Lab - IP lab which will simulate data and voice over the IP network.
Intermediate Lab - Simulation of Triple play.
Advanced Lab - QuadPlay and also simulation of other broadband fixed and wireless technologies i.e Wimax, DSL and FTTH
